International students are a welcome addition to the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Georgetown University. Georgetown is very supportive of its international student body and strives to provide all non-US students with ample resources to successfully arrive to Georgetown and enjoy a productive academic career while here. Over 2000 individuals from over 130 foreign countries study, research, and teach at Georgetown University.

The effort to support international students at this University is lead by the Office of International Programs' division of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS).

Services provided by ISSS include:

      • immigration advising
      • personal counseling
      • cultural and educational programming

The ISSS office supports the efforts of all culture or nationality-based student clubs and associations and serves as a source of information on all current immigration issues that may be faced by students or applicants. We strongly encourage all applicants to and current students at the department of Microbiology & Immunology to take advantage of the resources made available by the office of ISSS.
