The department occupies more than 12,000 square feet in the Medical-Dental Building and has access to additional facilities in the Lombardi Cancer Center. In addition to the library and conference room, general-purpose laboratories, and offices, the facilities include well-equipped research laboratories that contain laminar flow hoods, beta and gamma spectrometers, ultracentrifuges, spectrophotometers, an HPLC, controlled-environment incubators, cold rooms, tissue culture facilities, etc. The department is adjacent to the Medical Center Library and is very near a state-of-the-art animal resource facility.
